In his almost 2 years with APG, Jimmy Edwards (PAY6448) has flown more than 4,000 hours and over 750 flights. In all that time, he has never flown online, preferring instead to enjoy the hobby we all love offline. Now Jimmy has been diagnosed with Cancer and his son Travis (Pacific NY Hub Director) wanted to find a way to honor his father through the hobby and the Virtual Airline that has been a very important part of both their lives.

Travis will fly as co-pilot for Jimmy on his first online flights as we, the pilots of APG, "take to the skies to honor one of our own". We invite All APG and any VATSIM community pilots to join us for one or both legs as we follow Jimmy's career and fly from Dallas to Los Angeles and then on to New York on Saturday, April 17, 2010 and show our support for him in his battle.
